  • How can I be sure all pieces are there?
The pieces are checked by hand by me when they are put in to the box you get it in. Even the massive sets! If any pieces are missing they are replaced before rental. In some of the bigger and rarer sets some pieces have been substituted with pieces of different colours and/ or the figurines have been substituted with a similar figurine to keep the rental costs down. These are marked in the booklet you receive. As there is more business the aim is to purchase the missing pieces so there are no substitutes.
  • What if I want to extend my booking?
If you already have the set and want to extend the booking just email me on contact.brickabrac@gmail.com and I will see if the set is available to extend. If it is available then that can be arranged.
  • What if I get the set and a piece is missing?
Please get in touch with us immediately and we will get you the missing piece as soon as possible. We check all pieces before the sets go out but as we are only human sometimes we may miss one.
  • What if I lose a piece while I am renting the set?
If you do lose a piece please let us know. Most of the time we'll be able to replace it with spare Lego that we have. If we can't we will need to purchase a new piece and will take this amount out of your deposit.
  • How does pick up and return of the sets work?
At the moment there are 2 ways to get the sets. 1. You pick up and drop off the set from me at a location arranged in the Inner West, Sydney. There is no charge for this. 2. We can drop the set to you and pick it up if you live within Sydney. This will be for a $5 charge. If there ends up being enough interest in my idea I will look in to how I could deliver/ return through Australia Post so please do tell me if you are interested.
  • How do I pay for the rental?
At the moment I can accept cash or bank transfer. The payment must be made when you receive the set along with a security deposit of: - $5 - for rental sets from $10 - $30 - $10 - for the $50 rental sets - $100 rental sets - require a credit card authorisation form. Once the sets are returned and checked this deposit will be transferred back in to a nominated bank account. Like the delivery, if there is enough interest I will look at adding the ability to pay online through my site. Let me know if you think that is a good idea.
  • Do I have to pay a security deposit?
At the moment I ask that you pay a small deposit on receiving the set. This is to ensure that if any of the hard to get pieces are lost, I am able to replace them. The deposit amount required is: - $5 - for rental sets from $10 - $30 - $20 - for the $50 rental sets Once the sets are returned and checked this will be deposited back in to a nominated bank account. - For the $100 rental sets (as they are expensive to replace and I want to keep the rental price low) in place of a security deposit a credit card authorisation form will be required. This is to ensure that if the set is not returned within 7 days of the return date the value of the set can be charged to this card.
  • Are all pieces the same as in the Instruction booklet?
In some of the bigger and rarer sets some pieces have been substituted with pieces of different colours and/ or the figurines have been substituted with a similar figurine to keep the rental costs down. These are marked in the booklet you receive. As there is more business the aim is to purchase the missing pieces so there are no substitutes.
